Will Grayson - Point of View

There are many characters in the book, "Will Grayson, Will Grayson" but who's point of view is it?

We are introduced to two characters points of view. Both are named Will Grayson. We see their story through their eyes. How do I know? Simple, they both live different stories.

The first Will we meet talks a lot about going to clubs with fake ID's. "Jane gives her ID to the bouncer. He shines a flashlight on it, glances up at her, and hands it back." Then when they go home with an intoxicated Tiny Cooper. "I notice Tiny looking blankly at me, swaying back and forth like a skyscraper in the wind. And then he falls face first."

Then we go to the other Will Grayson, the depressed Will Grayson. "but I always end up turning my head. always. I always walk off the edge." This scene was really upsetting. Mostly when he said the next few words. " you have no idea how much I hate this. I hate the fact that I'm ruining the night right now, ruining everything."

But apart from the intense scenes this book has,  I enjoy the point of views this book portrays. It shows us that although what comes out said might sound awful and rude at times, what's thought of can truly mean something to them. That is why I enjoyed this book from front cover to back.

  1. Good thoughts, but what would you call this POV? First person, 3rd? Explain.
